Back to the cold!

Chorillos, Lima.

So, I just got back from Peru, shooting my first documentary (working titel - Cocoroco) backed by The Danish Filmworkshop (part of DFI, The Danish Film Institute).

I have been going all over Lima, and even made it to some small villages in the mountains.

This was my application video for The Filmworkshop!

Cocoroco is a documentary about the indigenous people of Peru in the capital, Lima.

All told through the protagonist, an out of work cab driver, who takes us all over Lima and to his hometown in the Andes of Peru.

The movie sheds light on the racism and prejudice that still lives strong in many people in Peru, and is a major factor in the life

of the indigenous people who are forced into slums and poverty in the Peruvian capital.

Cocoroco

Filmværkstedet ( a part of the danish film institute, DFI ) has chosen to finance my first
documentary, about the life of a taxiless taxi driver in Lima, Peru.

I will be in Peru from early january to late march, shooting for my debut documentary
( and avoiding the cold nothern weather ).
